Is the "what are you thinking about" thread really locked just because LockeZ has a different opinion to other people? Would people really prefer a community where everyone agrees with one another 100% of the time? What is the matter with you, darlings?
There's a line being having 'different' opinions and being totally aloof about the effects of 'different' opinions on the majority (or in some cases, flat-out not caring). It's like Feld said: In the past couple weeks I've seen members post stuff both here and on Slack that would get them haymaker'd IRL.
Yes, RMN is far from the most toxic place on the internet, but that doesn't mean it shouldn't strive to be less toxic.
I don't envy the current moderation team(s) though, because finding the balance between allowing 'different' opinions and preventing strife is really difficult to get right (speaking out of experience..).
